FAQs

What happens if I call QYFSS and ask for help?

If you call us, we will try to work out over the phone how best to assist you. This might involve talking to one of our youth workers over the phone or making an appointment at a time which suits you or asking you to come in to talk to one of our trained youth workers. Our youth worker can also meet you at home or another place which suits you.

We recommend that you schedule an appointment with us, rather than just turning up. This eliminates being disappointed if everyone is busy and not able to see you.

When you arrive for your appointment you will meet a youth worker. You will be able to talk  in a comfortable and private setting. Sometimes it can be difficult to talk about everything you want to when you first meet the youth worker. It will be important for you, and us to take time to get to know each other and feel comfortable working together. Your youth worker will help you to develop a plan that will outline your needs and goals and how you will achieve them with our help.
